Calling all 1st- 3rd graders!

You’ve rocked the Apex Fun Run, now it’s time to join Willow’s Run Club. Get in shape and train for The Great Race, March 24th!

Last year, Willow had an increase in participation in The Great Race, and we want even more Wildcats to join us this year. To support this goal, we are offering a running club during 31-Minute Club (2:17- 2:48pm). Your child does not need to be enrolled in 31-Minute Club to participate. And it’s free!

Click here to download the required Permission Form/Waiver, sign, and return to your child’s teacher ASAP.

WHAT: WILDCAT RUN CLUB

WHO: 1st, 2nd, & 3rd grade Wildcats

WHERE: Willow’s grass play fields

WHY: To get in shape & have a great time with friends

WHEN: Mondays & Fridays, beginning February 5th, continuing up to The Great Race. Your child must be picked up at 2:48pm after 31-Minute Club. Please note: there will be no practice on Feb 16, 19, and the week of Mar. 12-16.

We need and appreciate all parent volunteers! We need at least two parent volunteers for each grades at each practice. There will be no Run Club without enough volunteers, so click here to sign up at SignUp Genius.

If you have any questions, please contact Debbie Fontenette at wrundeb@gmail.com.

**Please note: The Great Race is not affiliated with Willow Elementary. To participate, please register to at: greatrace.run. If you register for The Great Race by February 25th, Willow will earn back $5.00 per runner! Select “Willow” when registering. Runner will be confirmed as having actually run the race in order for Willow to receive credit.

The Rytech Company, a water restoration company, will collect and deliver our donations to the Ventura evacuation site. Here are some of the items in need:

Warm wear (beanies, gloves, etc.)
Clothing for any size or age
Baby diapers, formula, wipes
Blankets, pillows, sheets
Board games, cards, toys
All food items

We have dedicated an area in the MPR for our donations. Please feel free to add to the boxes that will be labeled there.

Our Student Council, our Willow staff and I thank you for your support!

Ms. Kintz

Lexi Byrne, and the almost 2200 food items the Wildcats donated!!!!

Thanks to the Willow Wildcats for donating 2,187 food items for local families in need! We partnered with LVUSD, OPUSD and the WLV Junior Women’s Club, in this wonderful community effort.

Now we need your help!

On Dec 9th at 7:30am, join the community and Santa for a holiday event. Enjoy face painting and crafts. And help sort and deliver the collected food items.

Thanks for your generosity, Wildcats!
